Snow Reporter Comments: The Tax Day Storm has come and gone, leaving us with 5 inches of new snow in the last 48 hours, including 3 inches overnight. We expected higher totals, but Mother Nature can be fickle this time of year. Today the sun returns along with temperatures approaching 40 degrees. The high-density snow made for some fun, creamy turns yesterday. Today you can expect more of the same. If the snow feels too heavy off trail, we have more than 30 groomed runs waiting for you. Dynamite makes for a great morning cruiser and there are plenty of smooth options in the lower Eagle area. Solitude is proud to host the High Fives Foundation this week, an organization that provides skiing and snowboarding opportunities to vets and first responders who have sustained life-changing injuries. You’re likely to see ski bikes and adaptive ski equipment on the hill today. High fives to our visiting athletes!
