Skiers and riders in the Rockies and Sierras are settling into deep digs this week. Snow seems to be falling everywhere across the West, but the most notable snow totals are coming out of regions, including British ColumbiaCalifornia, Utah and Colorado. Some of the best conditions of the season are up for grabs thanks to an atmospheric river that brought multiple storms out of the Pacific.

Many ski resorts recorded between 24-30 inches in 24 hours. Storm totals are hovering around the 4-foot mark in the best areas, with more snow expected over the next day or two.
