2016/2017 Atomic Vantage 95 C W ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its women’s All-Mountain Back Category and awarded it an Editors’ Choice honor.

The Vantage series’ tagline is “lighter and stronger, all over the mountain” and testers were impressed with the versatility of the Vantage 95 C W, which surpassed scores in carving performance. “Not the most powerful in its class, but it’s light and easy to ski, feels solid underfoot and has some spunk,” says Rodman. The construction behind the 95-mm-waisted ski focuses on light and strong with several Atomic technologies blended with the ash and poplar wood core: Carbon Tank Mesh—a layer of strong yet lightweight woven carbon—runs the length of the ski along with a vertebra-shaped titanium “backbone.” As with other skis in the Vantage line, the 95 C W has full “Firewall” sidewalls plus tip and tail rocker. “It’s a dependable ski you can drive on any terrain—and it won’t drive you,” says Brown.
