2015/2016 Fischer KOA 84 ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its women’s All-Mountain Front Category.

The KOA 84 has a sandwich sidewall construction and Fischer’s Air Tec, a milled out portion of the poplar wood core designed to reduce weight without loosing the stability and performance from a full wood core. Testers concur, awarding the KOA 84 its highest scores for stability, with lower marks for playfulness. Rodman called the 84-mm-waisted model “a confidence-building ski with a stable platform you can trust.” Fischer’s Freeski Rocker includes a long rockered tip and tail. “There’s not a lot of energy in this cruisy, stable ski, but it’s strong enough for advanced skiers and easy enough for those looking to improve,” says Pugliese.
