2015 Rossignol Experience 84 ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its Frontside Category. Fans of skiing the Experience line have new technology to feast on: Rossi's Air Tip—a honeycomb design that reduces core weight and swing weight—makes its way from freeride to the frontside. Testers gave the Experience 84 high marks for carving and playfulness and say it’s best suited for skiers who favor a light and lively ski. Phillips, a former World Cup racer, likes that it “can be skied aggressively or subtly.” The Experience 84 has a sandwich laminate construction, which combines paulownia and carbon, tip and tail rocker, and Rossignol’s Extended Sidecut—designed to allow edges to engage more as edge angles increase. “This ski’s strength is its ability to steer playfully through various turn shapes,” says Stoeger.
