2015 Fischer Motive 86 Ti ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its Frontside Category.

One of the benefits of diversification in a company is that you can share technology from one sector to another. Such is the case with Fischer’s Air Tec Ti technology, borrowed from the extremely weight-conscious Nordic skis. In order to save weight while adding performance to the Motive 86 Ti, Air Tec Ti includes a milled double Titanal shell over a poplar wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. The result, according to Stoeger is “a very predictable ski that’s easy to ski flat and easy to carve at medium speeds.” Testers gave the Motive 86 Ti highest scores for carving, lowest for playfulness. Bristow says: “It’s a damp ski that holds well when pushed and best for big-radius turns.”
