Faction Dictator 2.0 ski review, 2017/2018 men's All-Mountain Back Category, from our equipment experts at Realskiers.com powered by Masterfit.

The Dictator 2.0 is a chameleon, always adapting to circumstances. Faction should have called it Facilitator 2.0, for it seems to morph into whatever sort of ski is needed at the moment. Its multi-radius sidecut can dart into the top of a turn with the enthusiasm of a slalom ski, but back off the forward pressure and the ski's tapered tip switches to neutral. Faction's Dictator 2.0 is one of a handful of All-Mountain Back skis that responds to a light touch, yet the more energy the skier pours into it, the more responsive it becomes. For a ski with Titanal in it, the Dictator 2.0 is remarkably light, making it feel quicker edge to edge than most models in this category of wide bodies. Its double-rockered baseline is built for off-piste skiing, but Dictator 2.0's cambered zone kicks in when called to action on hard snow. “More traditional in feel than other Faction models,” noted Boot Doctors’ Gleason. “Smooth and substantial. Strength at speed. Powerfully predictable yet not overbearing.”
