Patagonia PowSlayer Bibs Pant review. OnTheSnow reviewed these shell pants as part of its 2016/2017 Pants Buyers' Guide.

Favorite Features: We can’t say for sure if the PowSlayer Bibs are actually adept at killing powder, however, we can attest to their uncanny ability to keep it at bay. Three-layer nylon ripstop Gore-Tex lays the foundation for this ultra-protective bib. Digging deeper into the nuts and bolts of the PowSlayer, we were happy to uncover a concealed RECCO reflector, internal gaiters and ample two-way side zips for ventilation.

Room for Improvement: Although the suspender system is lightweight, it didn’t feel as durable as the rest of the pant. We’d also like to see the inclusion of seam-sealed zippers to further enhance this shells many storm-ready features.

Fit: The PowSlayer Bibs are perfect for the skier looking for some added room through the trunk. The articulated patterning through the hips and knees provided excellent mobility.

On-Snow Performance: The PowSlayer Bibs were roomy enough to pull over a few layers, and the suspenders stayed put throughout the day. Unlike some bibs, these didn’t inhibit movement while digging into turns, or feel too snug when it came time to sit down and enjoy a celebratory beverage.

Built with innovative zero-bulk construction for freedom of movement and GORE-TEX® Pro fabric for the highest level of durably waterproof/breathable and windproof protection.
