Snow Report
Status update for Mon, Mar 27

6:35 AM

An icy wintry mix is expected to continue for the next few hours, eventually transitioning to rain for most of Tuesday. Temperatures are starting off in the high 30's today and expected to rise to the high 40's by tomorrow. Conditions are extremely challenging, with a dense icy crust coating trails, lifts, and sidewalks. The mountain operations team is currently assessing the status of our lifts and due to the weather may delay or cancel operations for the day. If you plan to venture to the mountain, please use extreme caution on roads and sidewalks.

Please note that none of our terrain was groomed overnight. Sugarbush Parks' 19 snow hits on Slowpoke, 42 advanced sets on Riemergasse, & rowdy banked slalom course will likely be closed or delayed for the morning.

GMX normally operates mid-week starting at 8 AM. All other lifts open at 9 AM, except Slide Brook, which loads 10 AM - 3:15 PM. The Mad Bus provides shuttle service between both base areas & throughout the Mad River Valley.

North Ridge Express will not reopen this season. Mt. Ellen passholders are invited to ski and ride at Lincoln Peak for the rest of the season. As we prepare for the addition of a new Village Quad for Winter 17/18, the Village Double is currently being disassembled. If you are not quite ready for Gate House, beginners should head to the Sunny D lift and Lower Crackerjack for longer, gentle runs.

Get your 2017-2018 season passes now at the lowest prices of the year and enjoy lift access for the rest of the 2016-2017 season.

Be better informed with the Sugarbush App for both Apple and Android devices. Uphill travel is permitted on designated routes. Review the Skier Responsibility code for a safe season of adventure.

Sugarbush ... be better here.

Photo from last Friday. Sure looks like powder to me. Sounds like there was a little freezing rain after close, but Friday was great.

Fri 3/22 - Snowed 4-8 inches from base to the peak today, and was still snowing in the top half at close. Here's a gift...they never opened the top of Lincoln Peak today, so Saturday morning head there for fresh and somewhat deep untouched powder. Mount Ellen was hover open up top, and no one was there! Nice to be able to hit fresh snow in Spring!
