If you haven't skied Solden get your arse down here, this place is the best in the world
Best ever!!
Cold haha!
Soelden is the best ski resort for those who enjoy good and homy Austrian atmosphere. Everything is easy to find and a lot of small things to enjoy. But above all are for sure the authentic ski schools and highly qualified trainers. I came as a beginner, and only in three days of training felt safe and comfortable skiing blue and red slopes. Thus I could enjoy skiing with my colleague – it was her 6th year – at the same speed and with no fear. I would especially recommend Ski- and snowboard school aktiv and their trainer Mario, whose strictness, enthusiasm and devotion made us ski as professionals! Elena
authentic ski schools
quite small
It has been a very exciting period, with a lot of snow on both glaciers. But unfortunally it wasn't cold enought to ski to the valey perfect. Because from 2300 m down it has been to melted to ski nice. Althought it has been one of my best skiing experience. And after ski it is excellence. You should try it, and feel the beauty of the Alps, and see them , in all there splendore.
Super Ski place
To crowded
Soelden has some of the best skiing in Austia. It has the most vertical of any Austrian skiing with two glaciers. The ski area is large. a bit spread out. The more you get yourself familiar with the ski area, the more you like it. One of the best cruiser runs in the Alps starts at the top of the Funitel. Then it is non stop for 5500 vertical feet!! The town and Langenfeld down the valley both have wonderful swimming pools and spas
Solden is an absolutely wonderful place to ski. It is a skiers mountain, there are better choices if you are with a family. Skiing on the double Funitel when conditions are good is some of the best skiing in the Alps. The glacier is a beautiful place to ski, with normally always good snow conditions. Solden can get crowded, which can be a problem. The town is not the most attractive town in Austria, but down the valley to Langenfeld gives you a wonderful small town experience with a wonderful new spa
