Overview

The Abetone pass, with an altitude of 1388 mt, is on the border between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany and hosts one of the most important ski resorts in the Appenines. The resort is composed of four valleys, Valley of Luce, Valley of the Scoltenna, Sestaione Valley and Valley of the Lima, which are interconnected and offer skiers many kilometres of slopes connected with ski lifts: the Multipass consortium operates 54 km of slopes and 21 ski lifts. There are three historic ski lifts at the ski resort: Selletta, Fivizzani and Riva. Note also the slopes “Stucchi” and “Pulicchio”, which cross the border between the two regions and the “Zeno” slopes in the Valley of Luce, designed by the unforgettable ski champion from Abetone, Zeno Colò. There's also a 18 km ring dedicated to cross country skiing.
