Keystone has a lot to offer. It has diverse terrain for all skill levels. Free parking at the base and easy to navigate trails. Overall enjoyable mountain and easy access off the highway.
Fun back bowls
A lot of beginners on the front side of the mountain

With poor conditions through much of the year Keystone like alot of resorts had issues. Too many people not enough runs. It didn't seem like they limit people when they have limited terrain open. Which is the source of many complaints. When the coverage is good. And all the runs are open you can feel isolated on weekdays. We've been here back to back seasons. First one was epic. This season not so much. Nature of the beast.
Great terrain
Crowds

It’s a great place to ski. Not that far from DIA and lots of good hard terrain.
Great mountain. Easy to navigate.
Mountain House area needs upgrading.

Overall, I enjoyed my first time at Keystone and will go back. I had a great instructor for adult beginner snowboarding. I appreciated the parking lots as compared to other locations that charge an arm and a leg to park.
Great snowboard instructor for adult learning
The main green run is pretty steep (should probably be a blue).

I liked the variety of terrain at Keystone and moved through it as the season progressed.
Early open, enjoyed getting out during November.
Got busy as season went on. Hill full of people after noon

Really enjoy Keystone. I am an intermediate skier and feel challenged enough by the slopes with lots of good choices with the 3 main areas of the resort to choose from. Also love having the mountain house and summit house to relax a bit when needed.
Long, fun groomers that let you work on turning at speed (if the slopes aren’t crazy busy.) Beautiful views from several spots on the mountain. Bergman bowl is great for wide open bowl skiing for intermediates with some more intense mogul sections if you
Lift lines can be long at certain times of the season.

Like many resorts, Keystone suffers from a lack of employees which leads to subpar appearances and services. The vibe was MUCH better pre-Covid. Changes need to be made.
Varied terrain and peaks offer many options. Opens early in season with some of the best early season snow and conditions.
Closes too early in the season. Cleanliness of facilities could be better. Lack of on-mountain services disapponting.

Keystone is a well-kept secret. Widely seen as an intermediate mountain because of Dercum Mountain, its two other mountains have terrific and largely empty advanced runs.
Long top-to-bottom runs on all three mopuntains.
Not as steep as A-Basin next door.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the experience my children and I had at Keystone on 12/29. As a longtime skier with 20 years of experience, I have never encountered such a disappointing situation. On 12/28, I called Vail Resorts and spoke with Layla to confirm the eligibility of our 3-day pass and my children's Jeffco school passes for skiing on 12/29. After a 30-minute hold, Layla assured me that we could use our passes on that day, and blackout dates did not apply. However, upon arriving at Keystone on 12/29, we discovered that my kids' passes were not eligible, despite Layla's confirmation. This information was not easily accessible on the Epic site. Consequently, I had to purchase two kids' tickets totaling $350. Additionally, seeking advice on beginner runs, an employee directed us to the top of the hill, where the only available green run was closed. We had to take the gondola back to the main hill area. The most concerning part of our experience was an incident on the "Schoolyard" green run. (12/29 between 10-11 AM) While skiing, a Keystone ski school instructor, approximately 50 years old, male, with grey hair, cut us off during a private lesson, causing my daughter to accidentally collide with another child. Although both kids were uninjured and had apologized, the instructor proceeded to scream at my 8-year-old daughter for nearly 3 minutes, making her cry. The father of the other child reassured him that everything was fine, but the aggressive behavior continued. Subsequently, a man in his 50s collided with my daughter, resulting in no apology. This entire experience, coupled with unhelpful and rude interactions with Keystone employees, has left a lasting negative impression. I am disheartened to learn that a refund is only possible at the ticket window. Regrettably, this experience has led us to the decision not to return to Keystone. I felt it was important to share our experience in the hope that necessary improvements can be made to ensure a safer and more enjoyable environment for all visitors.
Nice mountain
The verbally abusive staff, high prices, poor signage, crowds, price gauging.

went to try and get an early season weekday in, figured it would not be too busy, wrong right off the bat, had to park in the lot a few miles down the road and take a shuttle bus to the resort. The one run that was open was super crowded, and really icy. Saw several bare/thin spots on the run. The food and drink are all extremely expensive (even compared to other resorts in the area). Overall, I received a free pass to go to this mountain, and would not have paid a penny more.
Close to better mountains
Extremely crowded, Icy, thin cover, boring terrain
