We skied at Sutton for 2 days last week. We lucked out for conditions, (as this is a bad snow year everywhere in Canada). We had awesome snow conditions and hooked up with Lynn and Linda, the local snow hosts ( E ambassadors) who were great and guided us all over the mountain. They showed us both sides of the mountain, through the glades. I give them both 5 stars!! Overall, I really enjoyed the mountain, the staff was friendly, the apres ski was fun and the overall vibe was excellent!
Something for everyone

Very nice ski resort with awesome micro-climate. In the wake of JayPeak, it recieves a generous amount of snow that other resort can only dream of.
Excelent expert terrain
Aging equipment, poor snowmaking

When we arrived on Sunday, we were greeted outside by a guide, who let us know where we could find everything we needed. He also told us about the guided tour (not running that day due to the cold), which we took advantage of the next day. It was really great to be greeted so warmly in spite of the cold, and it made the resort feel very welcoming. The guided tour of the mountain was amazing! Robert and Michel were friendly and helpful, and Michel was awesome with the kids when we got to some hills that were a bit outside of their comfort zone. We will be back again for sure!
Interesting runs, lots of variety in terrain, very welcoming
Little intermingling of blues and blacks

This is my favourite place to ski. Mont Sutton is filled with enchantment from the snowy slopes to the beautiful trees, excellent guides, and snow school, to the amazing art hidden all over the hill and the "pellush" stuffed toys hidden in the trees by the main lift. Add to that the village of Sutton with its small boutiques and restaurants. The locals are welcoming and the majority are Bilingual. all the resorts I have stayed in are wonderful. It is my destination for downhill skiing.

Best in Quebec!

This was my first day at Sutton so take my report with a grain of salt. On March 24, 2015 it was mid-winter conditions, frozen corduroy primarily. 100% open and lots of snow, deep cover. The place is unique. The emphasis is on glades of all levels of difficulty from wide open and easy to double diamond and challenging. The glades zig and zag all over the mountain, meaning there are endless paths to take. There are some nice cruisers too, but there are better places for cruising. They actually groom the glades which are wide enough to groom. Grooming does not seem to be a huge priority. Its a very natural mountain, untamed mountain. Very old school--what I imagine skiing was like in the 60s. Also an unusual number of very skilled women skiers who seemed to outnumber the men.
Unique old school mountain
Not great for novices

We were impressed with the help we received from the staff at all the lifts when we went with our small children. At all the lifts, workers are helpful and sensitive to the needs of beginner skiers of any age. The diversity of runs is great from lots of open runs to glades of varying densities of trees. The Family area is the best, with several runs, even glades available for the. Beginner skiers for lots of variety. The mountain itself has a wide variety of options, including very challenging runs and glades to relatively easy ways down from even the highest chair lift. The view at the top is amazing (you can see the glow from Montreal). We have returned here many times since our first time going, 6 years ago.
lots of help for the children, wonderful diversity
few man-made snow runs,

I am a middle-aged intermediate female skier, getting back into skiing as my teenagers leave for university. Mont Sutton was a challenging ski hill for me due to narrow runs and natural surfaces that were carved by other skiers. Notwithstanding, the hill was packed with skiers of all types, and had a fantastic area for children, especially young beginners, with an amazing snow park with jumps and pipes and everything a young skier or snowboarder would want. It's clear why Quebec is Owning the Olympic podium with great ski resources like Mont Sutton on which to develop its young athletes. When I am a grandmother, this is where I will bring my grandkids to learn to ski.
Friendly staff, challenging runs, lots of variety
Challenging runs for the novice to intermediate but great family ski area to provide dedicated area for practising

Surface très dure, plaques de glace, semble manquer d'entretiens. Décevant.
