Treble Cone is home to the most intermediate and advanced terrain on the South Island. The ski field encompasses over 550 hectares and has a vertical rise of 700m. The Home Basin and Saddle Basin chairlifts are great for those looking to access a wide variety of trails from wide-open groomers to steep powder bowls.

Intermediate skiers or riders looking for long un-interrupted trails should head over to High Street, a run that is over 4km long. For the expert; the Motatapu Chutes is an off-piste playground full of steeps, cliff drops, and bowls.

Treble Cone is also a great access point for backcountry skiing and snowboarding. Check out Treble Cone’s backcountry ski lift pass that offers limited access to the chairlifts but grants access to some of the best backcountry skiing on the South Island. Make sure to bring your avalanche gear and some friends before venturing outside of the resort’s boundaries.
