Winter Park celebrates 70 years and counting. The Village at Winter Park is the big news, as the $30 million project has been under construction for a few years and will finally be complete this winter. "We have had such a major overhaul in the past five years that this is the year we are enjoying it. It is our 70th year anniversary. This is the year to celebrate. It's all done," said Winter Park's Jenn deBerge.

The Village at Winter Park adds 20,000 square feet of new retail, rental, restaurant, and living space. This includes two new lodging properties of Fraser Crossing and Founders Pointe. Some tenant spaces are still being rented.

Another part of the construction over the past five years was on the mountain. Four new lifts were added, creating nine new trails. Restaurants have been remodeled and a covered parking garage has been added. The base area has a new ice skating pond at the Village. The outdoor Village Ice Rink is open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The big push this summer was to add and improve downhill mountain bike trails. Winter Park has 30 miles of biking trails on the mountain.

Pass options are aplenty at Winter Park with the Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus, a four-pass package, a College Pass, and finally, the Rocky Mountain Ultimate Pass.
