Make sure you head over to Mountain Dell Golf Course, just off I-80 in Parley's Canyon (west of Park City) Feb. 7 for Tubbs' Annual Romp To Stomp.
Tubbs Snowshoe has presented the snowshoe series to ‘stomp out' breast cancer since 2003, and raised nearly three quarters of a million dollars for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. It continues to be a premier winter event along the Wasatch Front for thousands looking to get out snowshoeing.
The Romp consists of a 3k or 5k snowshoe walk or a 3k fun run. Easy, well-marked trails along with free snowshoe demos from Tubbs make this a great event for all ages and abilities - even if you've never snowshoed before.
Anyone can snowshoe because, if you can walk, you can snowshoe. Tubbs will have a limited number of shoes available to demo, so be an early bird. The course is designed to incorporate various fitness levels and abilities so whether you're a first timer or veteran, you'll find the track challenging.
The overall goal this year is to raise $250,000 to help meet the $1 million dollar milestone.
Registration is $30 pre-event or $35 day online. If you're snowed in or sleep late and can't make the event, join the Snowed In For The Cause. Each participant gets a goodie bag and 100 percent of your registration fee will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
