Lake Tahoe and Reno area residents and visitors looking for current weather, events, activities, and recreation conditions have a new resource: A daily morning TV show dubbed Get Out! Reno-Tahoe.

The new program, which is available on Charter and Suddenlink cable systems around the Lake and in Truckee, Reno, and Carson City, is designed to provide information to help people plan their day's activities. Tahoe TV's format features a multi-zone screen with continuous weather conditions, forecasts, and live webcams. Additional programming includes updated recreation and ski conditions, event and entertainment details, and a variety of entertaining and informative video segments covering area events, community news, people, businesses, and things to see and do around the region.

The Get Out! Tahoe-Reno team is developing a variety of new video segments and content to be featured on the network, including timely content such as snow reports from the region's ski resorts. Other programs include "A Taste of Tahoe" and "Tahoe Time."

The program, which made its debut on Nov.1, airs daily from 6 to 9 a.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. on Suddenlink Cable Channel 66 in Truckee and along the West Shore, and from  7 to  9 a.m. on Charter Cable's Channel 14 on the North Shore, Channel 15 on the South Shore, Channel 3 in Reno, and Channel 18 in Carson City, Minden, and Gardnerville. Additional hours on Charter will be added Dec. 1.
