Bridger staff added 400 feet of water line to extend snowmaking farther upslope. Snowmaking now reaches from the base of Pierre's Knob to the bottom of Thunder Road. Pruning also improved popular glade skiing areas. Tree branches were lopped off to open up access to glades, and trees were thinned. The thinning had a two-fold strategy — to open up tree skiing and riding, as well as fighting losses from spruce budworm and pine beetle. Removing infested trees and implanting pheromones deter their spread and mitigate losses of trees across the mountain.
