The newest addition to the Beaver Creek Resort summer scene is the opportunity to take the family on a High Mountain Adventure Tour along designated routes across the mountain.
The tours provide a close-up look at the mountain that transforms itself from a skier and snowboarding snowy landscape in winter to hillsides covered with wildflowers and blue skies above in summer.
The tours are conducted in a customized, canopy-topped jeep that has elevated seating with great views. Guests need to be at least 36 inches tall to join the one or two-hour tours that depart from and return to Spruce Saddle Restaurant. The two-hour tour includes an option for a picnic lunch stop.
Entertaining and knowledgeable guides will point out the natural and geological beauty of the area, emphasizing its history and discussing flora and fauna. Tours may be booked from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
