Durango Mountain Resort's season pass sale may be over, but it's not too late to acquire discounted lift tickets at one of the many ski shows the resort will be visiting throughout the Southwest over the next three weeks.
They will be selling their 4 Pak Card for $159, which allows the card holder to redeem four lift tickets throughout the 2010-11 season. There are no blackout dates, and they don't have to be used on consecutive days.
It works out to $39.75 per lift ticket, which is a 40-percent savings off regular season rates of $67 per daily lift ticket. It's nearly a 50-percent savings if used during holiday periods when the daily rate will be $75. The card has to be used this season, no carry over to the following season.
They no longer provide actual lift tickets at time of sale due to fraud abuse in the past. You get a tamper proof card, which must be presented at the lift ticket window to redeem a ticket. It's not transferrable, but the user may redeem more than one ticket per day. All people receiving tickets must be available at the time tickets are redeemed. Only one 4 Pak card will be allowed per person for purchase at each show.
This coming weekend and week Durango Mountain Resort will be at shows in San Antonio, Austin, and Denver. The following week they will be in Amarillo, Midland and Lubbock, Texas. They finish up at shows in Phoenix and Albuquerque Nov. 19-21. Follow the link below for show locations, exact times and schedules.
