What . . . De Uithof is a multifunctional sports centre in The Hague. Situated in the centre is a 211-metre-long skiing and snowboarding slope with real snow. It is served by four lifts: two draglifts and two carpet lifts (for beginners and children).
The temperature on the slope is minus 5 degrees Celsius, assuring good snow conditions, and the slopes are groomed regularly. Certified instructors offer different lessons and courses.
The snowpark is open every Sunday night during the winter season, with rails, kickers, boxes, and big-air. There is also DJs and slopestyle contests.
It's possible to rent ski/boarding equipment onsite, but ski clothing is only available to buy. Lockers cost €1 a day.
Open 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. 364 days a year.
Non-Skiing Activities . . . An Olympic-sized ice skating rink; a go-karting track; a climbing wall with more than 100 trails; and Kids' World. There's also a health club featuring a fitness room, aerobics, physiotherapy, solarium, sauna, and beauty spa.
Food/Shops . . . De Uithof also houses a number of themed cafes. Two shops specialise in snow and skate equipment - Duijvestein Wintersport and Ooms Sport.
Prices . . . A one-hour ski pass in winter costs €15 adults; €12 children and €9.95 for all ages during summer. A freestyle night at the snowpark costs €17.50 per person.
