Sun Valley launches into summer season with lifts running for sightseeing and shows for nighttime entertainment. Golf, mountain biking, and hiking are just a few of the outdoor activities available during the day.

Two golf courses--Trail Creek and White Clouds--lure golfers to the Idaho mountains during summer. Trail Creek Golf Course offers 18 holes in a Robert Trent Jones, Jr. 72 par design. The newest course, the White Clouds Golf Course, features nine holes along a rolling ridge with a stone clubhouse. Golf and lodging packages are available spring, summer, and fall.

Sun Valley's famous Summer Ice Show season kicks off June 26 with evening performances beginning at dusk. Shows run every Saturday night through Sept. 4. Performances offer a chance to see Olympians and other world-class skaters with each Saturday featuring a different show.

The Sun Valley Pavilion also launches its summer concert season May 30. The first show features singer, songwriter, and Grammy Award winner Colbie Caillat.

Lifts open at Sun Valley June 26-Sept. 6. Sightseers can hop the new gondola to the historic Roundhouse Restaurant to lunch overlooking Ketchum. The high-speed quad accesses the summit for sightseeing, hiking, mountain biking, and parasailing.
