Whiteface in Wilmington, N.Y. is offering unlimited spring skiing and riding at Whiteface with the Spring Unlimited Season Pass.
Passes cost $250 for adults (ages 20-64); $200 for seniors (ages 65-69), students and teens (ages 13-19); and $150 for juniors (ages 7-12) . Kids 6 and under ski or ride Whiteface for free.
It's a good deal for those who plan to ski or ride Whiteface three or more times this spring.
Whiteface offers the greatest vertical drop in the East, at 3,166 feet of lift-served drop, or 3,430 feet for those willing to hoof the last 300 feet or so.
The Slides, which are now open for skiing and riding, drop off a summit elevation of 4,650 feet. The highest lift-served point is 4,386 feet above sea level.
Whiteface has 85 trails, the longest of which is Wilmington Trail, at 2.1 miles, encompassing 314 acres of skiable and rideable terrain, including 35 acres of in-bounds, off-piste double black diamond wilderness terrain on the Slides, and 85.5 acres of tree skiing. Terrain is broken down into 37 percent expert, 43 percent intermediate, and 20 percent beginner. The ski area has 98 percent snowmaking coverage.
Lifts include an eight-passenger gondola, a high-speed detachable quad, a fixed-grip quad, two triples, five doubles, and a conveyor.
The three-year average snowfall is 230 inches.
