Wisp's new snowmaking system uses SMI computer-controlled fan gun technology and can pump 16,000 gallons per minute.

"That's a lot of water being turned into snow," said Wisp's Laurie Epp. "It's one of the largest snowmaking systems on the East Coast. Our control room looks like NASA with all the computer screens. We can monitor all resort operations through remote sensors and 16 cameras around the resort, which help with security, tracking skier patters, and making snow."

"Seven weather stations around the resort let us track humidity and temperature, so we can make the best snow possible, and take advantage of snowmaking weather," she added.

Among the international visitors are 12 of Korea's 15 ski resorts, and delegations from Russia and Italy.
