Taos Ski Valley is know for its rugged, authentic terrain in the Sangre de Cristo mountain range of New Mexico. Skiers and riders looking to challenge themselves have access to 12,481 foot Kachina Peak, where steep chutes and bowls await. Skiers and snowboarders of the beginner and intermediate variety also have something to look forward to at Taos, with miles of meticulously maintained groomers and cruisers. Taos averages 305 inches of annual snowfall and 300+ days of sunsine along with 1,294 acres of skiable terrain. The town of Taos offers tons of dining and nightlife as well as lodging specials.

    Amazing ski heaven, in a cultural oasis

    Pros: Long Runs, views, steep
    Cons: Too many lifts without safety bars & footrests

    GREAT EVEN BEFORE NEW SNOW

    Great terrain, serious shredders. Where's the snow?

    Pros: Amazing terrain, views and very unique mountain culture
    Cons: Very little snow, a season here and you'll need new knees
