Snow Reporter Comments

How sweet it is to be at the Tash to enjoy M.L.K. Day and wrap up a fabulous 3 Day weekend! Happy people are everywhere out on the mountain; first time beginners, experienced cruisers on the groomers and dare devils attacking the steep pitches on Idiot’s Option and Upper Ptarmigan. Yes sir, we have what it takes to offer exciting terrain that suits everyone! Today's forecast calls for bright sunny skies and a high temp near 30 degrees. Should be a beauty out there. By the way, we are looking at a Snow event coming our way overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Fingers crossed for the upside of the forecast!

8 lifts are scheduled to spin today from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm and we will start the day with 53 trails on 201 acres and 18 miles across two interconnected peaks. The grooming crew has diligently worked throughout the night to refresh surfaces and we can expect machine-groomed morning cords on 49 of 53 open trails.

Snow Reporter Dave’s pick(s) for great runs this morning. Warm up with a few quick runs off the Flying Yankee down Spillway and Moat. Ride the Triple to the Summit of Attitash to enjoy a classic top-to-bottom route; Upper Saco around the curve to Lower Saco, to Chicken’s Option to Ammonoosic, cruising down the home stretch on Lower Cathedral. Swoosh! Head back to the Summit and hit the steeps of Upper Ptarmigan to Spillway. That will get the juices flowing for sure, come on out today and join the fun!

The Snowmaking Team is geared up to make the most of the cold temps. On the Attitash side the snow is piled high on Councilor's Run, while the guns have refreshed surfaces on Grandstand and Spillway and will continue throughout the day. On Bear Peak, we are blasting away Kachina Falls and Upper Myth Maker. The Team plans to continue snowmaking operations as long as temperatures allow and you can expect to see new terrain opening later this week.

See you on the slopes, Dave

ABENAKI PARKS

The Kachina Park is now OPEN for the season with elements on Kachina and lower Kachina. Come hit the jumps, rails and fun, flowy features all day!

We re-set the Mythmaker park this week and the park crew set a total of 12 features before the triple jump line. You'll still find boxes and rails but also a cannon, ball, S-curve, and more. To get you started, the beginner park at Bear Base is set up with intro features, rails, jibs, and jumps. .

RACING

Spillway Race Arena will have practice GS gates set up on lower section – no closure – gates are just for fun and open to all our guest today!

Plenty of snow but they need to crank out the groomers. Not every trails needs moguls. Lines were short tons of runs!!!!

Good for late season skiing. Cold temps kept it from slushing up a lot. Some powder on ice but plenty to keep an edge in most places. Some thin cover and exposed ice but generally quite good. Groomers have done a good job
