Skiers and snowboarders can choose from a huge variety of offers. The ski areas Fieberbrunn, St. Ulrich and Steinplatte Waidring have diverse and snowy pistes to offer. There are also carving slopes and deep snow pistes. The highest elevation in the ski region Pillerseetal is the Buchensteinwand with an altitude of 1456 m. The there located top station offers an impressive view on the on the surrounding mountain landscape: the Hohe Tauern, the Wilder Kaiser, the Waidringer Steinplatte as well as the Loferer and Leoganger Steinbergen. The region is also known to be very family-friendly. Amongst other things there is a huge children’s skiing park available. The ski area Steinplatte Waidring, located on an altitude of 1100 m to 1900 m, has an exciting snowboarder fun park to offer next to the very well groomed slopes and the pristine ski lodges. There is lots of sunshine because the ski region in the borderland of Tyrol, Salzburg, and Bavaria is located in a favourable position on a tableland.
