Just came back from Norway Mountain. Still plenty of snow, probably a good four more weeks left without any trouble at all. Man, they keep the runs groomed to perfection, must spend a lot of time. Beautiful conditions and no ice, fresh snow all day. This resort had been closed and has reopened with new owners, this is their second season. TONS of improvements. The Ski School is "terrain-based" teaching, and they paint the teaching area terrain so that the students get a visual association with the slopes and fall lines. That so the students comprehend instruction and learn faster and retain far better. Love that this place is advancing teaching methods so that young AND OLD can learn to enjoy skiing and boarding for a lifetime. Oh, and the rental equipment IS ALL NEW. Next let me say that the food upstairs in the restaurant and bar is fantastic. Fantastic. I didn't expect meals like that. At fish fry Friday night we had a choice of fried cod, crusted walleye, three types of salmon and I think another fish as well. It. Was. Great. They had steak and pasta Saturday night. Great again. And the best lunch. We had this wonderful dessert— Fried cookie dough balls in a RumChata bath. Crazy good. The owners are gracious and committed to their endeavor. They are passionate about making the customer experience the best it can be. And this place is only a little over 3 hours from Milwaukee. This is the Upper Peninsula's best kept secret—hills are great, and impressive runs for all abilities. You can get tons of skiing or boarding in with no waiting in lift lines. They are celebrating Yooperfest March 12th and Springfest March 19th. Sounds like a blast. There will be plenty of snow. I wish I could go. My new favorite ski resort in UP.
Ski School, snow grooming, food, largest hills closest to Milwaukee

This hill was closed for 2 years and just reopened under new management. Wow lots of changes the place looks great. Amazing food nothing like any ski hill I've been at. The terrain is fantastic and friendly people. What more do you need? Loved it!
Excellent hill close to Fox Valley Area
Night skiing not available yet
Took my 2 kids for lessons (their first time skiing), instructors Courtney and Lydia were wonderful with the kids. Very patient and kind. By the end of the lesson the kids were ready for the big hills!
staff is very friendly and helpful

Great place to bring the family for Christmas break. Excellent preseason ticket discounts. Cafeteria food is good and not expensive. Excellent place for beginner snowboarders. Friendly staff. Easy dropoff of equipment and people. Nice commute from Green Bay 2 hours. . .
Easy drive, friendly staff, great hill for begnner snowboarders.
Smaller hill, ? lodging choices
My group has visited Norway serval times, what a great deal. We are close by, so when time doesn't permit for a 2 to 4 hour road trip, we can be to Norway in short order and on the hill in no time. Took my first lesson - ever - and had the most amazing teacher. Not many places give you an 90 minute lesson for your money. My instructor helped me pick up on things I wanted to work on and clued me in on things we could work on in the future. Absolutely awesome and I will see him this winter to learn more. Lift lines move right along even when the hill is crowded, so you never wait long. And speaking of crowded, even when the hill is hopping, there is plenty of room to manuver. More advanced terrain than just the little head walls on the bottoms of the black runs would be great, but not sure if there's anyplace left to expand the hill. All in all, a lot of fun, very good price for what you get in return and a staff thats a pleasure to work with. Michigan has a lot of super hills, but this one is a bit overlooked and could/should be farther up the list than number 6.
fast lift lines, lots of room, good place for lessons
needs more advanced terrain

After a disappointing visit to a nearby resort, we made our way to this resort after finding it online. Compared to our Saturday experience, this day was a lot more fun. We were greeted by staff members all day long, everyone we met was friendly and helpful. The lodge was quaint and comfy. The area itself is spacious and the trails were in a excellent condition. There was a good mix of terrain for all of us to enjoy. This was our first trip to this resort and it will definitely not be our last.

We were only here for 6 hrs, so I can't really say anything bad about the night life or anything. While we were there though, it was a great time, great lifts and trails. No big complaints

We take our family and friends skiing up there once a year and it is always the highlight of our winter. One of the best ski hills in the area. Always well maintained. Lodge seems to get better each year with renovations. Toasty's Bar is great for after skiing drinks and mid skiing meals. Staff is always friendly. Great deals throughout the year. Would highly recommend this place to all my friends.
excellent conditions
