I have been coming to Chiesa with my family and friends for over 15 years. We stay at the Tremoggia Hotel which is a wonderful family run hotel. You can go to the big resorts but what you won't get is Presteigne slops, uncrowded slops no ques at the lifts and the friendly locals who work the resort. A hidden gem
All slopes are kept Presteigne every day

All in all a lovely traditional village with some great skiing for beginners and intermediates - we are going for a 3rd time and it feels like home from home - but not for those who want a challenge and après-ski partying!
No queues as it’s a small and quiet resort, family orientated, fabulous and friendly ski instructors, hot chocolate!!
Limited ski area, quiet town (hotel-based, not for party animals)

Small but beautifully formed ski resort. Just spent a week as a resort rep for a party of 13-14 year old schoolkids and was very impressed with the place. It is not an experienced skier's paradise, with one of the two black runs being no more than a steepish red, but each run of any colour has its own character. The ski school is, as you would expect in Italy, very good, with some first timers managing parallel turns on red runs after only four days. I have never experienced such a friendly resort. Lift staff, restaurant staff and just about everyone met me with a smile and a kind word. If you have young children (under drinking age) you would wise to give this resort serious consideration. Just to finish, I also got a glass of vino calda (vin chaud, gluhwein) in a mountain hut for 2 euros - great value!
Safe and friendly.

This is one of those hidden gems. A family friendly resort with just enough piste to keep all levels of skier occupied. It has taken on a new dimension over the last three years with the construction of a snowboarding half pipe and dedicated snowboarding runs. It's a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of package tour resorts such as nearby Livigno. Here, there's no such thing as a queue and the friendly smile and knock down prices bring customers back to Cocchi's ski hire every year. The village doesn't get rowdy at night but you'll dine very well, as you'd expect in Italy. Try "da Toto" for Florentine steak and pizzas to die for. Paolo the Dub
