Went in 2nd week of march. Weather very foggy an +8 at night and +12 in the day so snow was very slushy. Resort is VERY child friendly . It's not for me.
Its not crowded
Quickly ski out the resort as it's small

Never been disappointing, Never lost ski days here. 7th year back (highly recommend interski uk ). Slopes uncrowded and well maintained. We are at Intermediate ski level and moved to expert runs. We simply live the vast ski areas within Aosta and the challenges of the Red runs at Pila . The Pila instructors have helped progress many beginner joining us safely over the years. Pila has safe and often sunny wide open ski areas. Due to the ski runs & lift system beginners can also access the beautiful upper mountain bowl area for safe high level panoramic skiing .
Accommodates a groups of mixed ski levels. Lots of on slope Accomodation. Great atmosphere with lots of mountain restaurants to choose from. Excellent access to ski instructions. Relaxed Italian friendliness . Great snow infrastructure, snow assured, sn
If you want night life stay down the valley in Aosta

My son and girlfriend were charged adult rates and when we asked for a partial refund they said it was our fault for not telling them, and the lady was incredibly rude. Also seems they only care about a company called Interski as I had to wait 20 minutes at the bottom lift getting very cold while about 50 students jumped the queue. Never seen anything like it!

This was my second trip here, though my first trip was cut short with a shoulder injury! Red 2 and 3 are hot! Red 4 steep and short - bit boring. Blue 5 is Ok, blue 15 approach to the resort is steep and cut up! Red 12 was inaccessible because of ski racing - looked fun, I'm sure you could be cheeky and duck under the barriers for a run. Red 13 and 14 were great, 14 you can pick up some sweet air time! It's also a nicer way to return to resort insured of blue 15 highway. I didn't brave any of the black runs but red 16 and 19 were probably some of the best runs! Italian food was great! I'm sure I'll be back one day - but want to see Monterosa Ski and dolomite super ski first! This was my second complete week skiing, so the only other place I've been to was beitastollen in Norway - which was great powdery snow to learn in but ultimately a very small resort, but I think this resort is great for a second trip!
Food, easy access slopes
Blue 15 approach to resort, size,

I as a ski racer enjoy Pila ski resort as it has some incredible runs
Don’t think it has eanyvaccept for if you are a powder skier

Good infalstucture, ski area not crowded, great food on and off the slopes. Good access to the larger town Aosta. Night life low key in Pila, The ski is excellent for beginners, intermediates and experts too. A group of mixed ability can all enjoy Pila. 6th year running at Pila,
Relaxed, friendly with wide open ski areas
On the mountain low key night life.

I love this resort. I've been twice and am planning my next trip. One of the best things about it is the lack of queues for uplift. Even the weekends the queues are relatively short (compared to e.g. the big French resorts). Apart from one or two bottle necks that are easily avoided, the uplift is very good. The ski pass is reasonably priced, as is the food in many of the mountainside restaurants. I usually stay in Aosta and there you can eat very well at regular restaurant prices. Up in Pila there is less choice, obviously, but you are only a 20-minute cable car ride away. I would say I am intermediate rider (snowboard) and there is lots of terrain to keep me busy here. If you go for 2-3 days (as I usually do) you won't get bored. I imagine there is enough terrain to keep most people entertained for a week's stay, but if you are the type of person who wants to take in new terrain and routes each day, Pila itself may be a little small for a week's stay. But then there are all of the other resorts very close by in the Aosta Valley, easily reachable by car. Finally, in this resort I get an overall impression of friendliness and openness, which is something other resorts I have visited (outside Italy) have lacked.
Good uplift, reasonably priced passes, reasonably priced food, Aosta offers lots to do
Not the biggest resort I've ever been to

If you enjoy skiing and don't need multiple bars and clubs, Pila is worth a punt. Resort is around 200m so snow record is pretty good and some of the black runs up in Grimod are around 3500m. Good for families, great beginner slopes and a few good mountain restaurants.... Weekends are busy with locals but queues are almost non existent during the week.
High resort, good snow record.. plenty of skiing for beginners and intermediates, though lift pass cover skiing into Zermatt.
Limited resort skiing for advanced, but opportunity to ski further afield.

Great resort for families and beginners and if the weather closes in, you can always get the gondola down to Auosta.
Great snow record
Limited apres ski
